Coaching - We all need support

We all need support. At times this can best come from beyond your family and friends. An impartial and hopefully objective person may just be what you need to help you become more empowered and inspire you to be your best self.

Have you ever felt that “Surely, this can’t be it. There must be more” or “ I can do so much more'“

Then perhaps a coach is what you need. Coaching especially Mindset and Life coaching can be that proactive shift you need to get you from fine to thriving. These are the words of Kiran Nyotta who is an Empowerement coach, catch our IG live here.

I embarked on my journey with my coach Nina who is a fellow expat mum, writer, blogger and Life coach. My reason for going with her apart from her approaching me was I had just moved to the Netherlands in the middle of a pandemic and was undergoing a transition. Besides all this, I was open to trying out coaching and pushing aside the misconceptions of life coaching.

Let’s be honest, life coaching has always felt like a very American thing to do. An all fluff and motivational mindspeak idea. That was what I thought anyway and there are some coaches who may push this idea.

My experience though has been a gentle pace of increasing self-awareness, soft guidance to wiser decision making and a consistent feeling of clarity after a session. I will be honest I have only had 5 sessions and after each one, I feel a renewed sense of power in myself and my ability. Coaching has helped me show up better as a wife, friend, mother and new business owner. More so its given me the strength to handle my new physical transition of moving from the UAE to the Netherlands.

Should you seek out a coach? If you are about to go through a transition; moving away from home, starting a business, feeling like a career change but don’t know what or feeling that you want more out of life then a coach may be for you.

This post by Nina has more information on what life coaching is all about and Kiran has a series of blogs too.

Have you ever had a coach and what was your experience?
